Members of the Blackstone River Bikeway Patrol act as trail ambassadors for the Blackstone River Bikeway. Patrol members serve seven functions along the bikeway:

1Provide information about services for all users about the bikeway, such as locations of restrooms and places to get food & drinks.

2Give assistance for bicyclists in need of bike repair, including loaning tools and providing patch kits.

3Carry basic first aid materials such as band-aids, alcohol wipes,anti-biotic cream and other items in a first aid kit.

4Educate visitors about the historical locations on the bikeway, including the Kelly House area, former mill sites, the Blackstone Canal and other Blackstone Valley history on the site

5Answer questions about the past and future building project on the bikeway

6Act as support during scheduled rides and other bikeway activities.

7Report any visitor feedback, safety concerns, vandalism or structural issues to the Bikeway Chair.

NOTE While Patrol members may answer questions regarding bikeway policies and regulations, the Patrol is not a law enforcement group and does not enforce policies along the bikeway.
